(Luke 6:47) "Whoever comes to Me and hears My Words, and does them, I will show you to whom he is like."
Comment
Many people who hear but very few practice what they hear. The army training involves obeying what command they hear. It also means that the responsibility of the hearer is to get the task done. So is the case with believers. We are chosen by our Captain our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our faith is founded on the Rock of our salvation – Christ. Jesus compared people who listen to Him and obey His commandments as a wise man. He said floods are going to happen in life and the house that is built upon The Rock will be able to withstand it. Jesus compared the man who has his foundation in the sand. When the floods come great will be the fall of that house.

If Jesus is the Rock, we must pay attention to what he says and obey Him. This can make us strong and be victorious against the spiritual attacks of our enemy Satan. Our weathering the storms of life will be proof of our foundation and who is the Lord of our life. Where is your foundation? Is it on the Rock called Jesus or the quick sands of the world. (1John 2:17) "And the world passes away, and the lust of it, but he who does the will of God abides forever." (John 3:15-17) "so that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him."
