Bible verse for today (move the mouse to the reference to read the verse)
(John 16:22) “And therefore you now have sorrow. But I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”
The disciples were sorrowful for a little while. Jesus had told them this will happen. He also told them that their hearts will rejoice. When Jesus died on the cross, it was the gloomiest day of their lives. But after three days Jesus resurrected from the dead. (Act 3:15) “And you killed the Prince of Life, whom God has raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.” It was at first unbelievable to them. However, they started to rejoice in their heart as the resurrection of Jesus became more evident to them. 1Cor.15:1-7.

We also have great reason to rejoice. Just as Jesus told the disciples they will see Him again, we who have believed will see Him again. We rejoice today because we are able to see Him with the eyes of faith. We will see Him face to face at His second coming. Our hearts are rejoicing in anticipation of the eminent rapture of the church. We will see Him with our own eyes. Then will we realize how great our God is. We will know Him, as we ought to know. We will be immersed in His love that knows no bounds.
